Get Up, Sis! That’s right—GET UP!
This is your holy reminder that YOU matter. Yes, YOU—the one holding everyone down, praying over your babies, building dreams, wiping tears, cooking meals, and still showing up like nothing’s missing. Sis, we see you. More importantly, God sees you.
But can I ask you something gently? When’s the last time you saw yourself?
As African American women, mothers, nurturers, leaders, we carry so much. But carrying everything doesn’t mean neglecting you. Your self-care is not just something you deserve—it’s something you owe to the vessel God has given you.
Let’s Talk Self-Care, Sis.
Scripture says in 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” That means God doesn’t just want you to make it—He wants you to thrive. That starts with intentionally making space for rest, renewal, and restoration.
Bath Time Is Not Just a Routine—It’s a Ritual
One of the most overlooked acts of self-love is the way we cleanse. I’m not talking about rushing through a shower before the kids knock on the door. I’m talking about pausing and letting the water wash over you as you wash off the day.

That’s where Unrefined Bodycare by IVIBE comes in.
Our handcrafted soaps, bath soaks, and butters aren’t just products—they’re a ministry of self-care. When you step into the tub or stand under the stream, let your mind quiet. Let your spirit rest. Let your body be loved.
• Use our Blissful Dreams Lavender Bath Soak to calm your nerves and ease your spirit before bed.
• Grab the Golden Radiance Turmeric Honey Bar to brighten your skin while you affirm the beauty God placed inside you.
• Finish with our Unrefined Shea Butter to seal in moisture and speak love to every stretch mark, every scar, every curve. That’s your story, Sis. Wear it with grace.
5 Self-Care Habits for a New Season of Wholeness
1. Start with God: Quiet time in the morning isn’t a luxury—it’s your fuel.
2. Move joyfully: Take a walk, dance, stretch—anything that makes you feel alive.
3. Eat like you love yourself: Nourish your body with food that fuels, not just fills.
4. Set boundaries without guilt: You can’t pour from an empty cup.
5. Soak, Lather, Moisturize with Intention: Make bath time your sanctuary. Use Unrefined as a reminder to strip away the world’s residue and embrace your natural, God-given essence.
Meditation Scriptures for This Season:
• Psalm 46:10 – “Be still, and know that I am God.”
• Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all who are weary…”
• Philippians 4:6-7 – “Do not be anxious about anything…”
Sis, Whatever You Do—Don’t Forget YOU.
As you move through this month, I want you to reclaim your bath time, your mirror time, your prayer time—as sacred. As you embrace each day with the spirit of “Get Up,” I challenge you to put YOU back on your calendar.
Because when you are well—everything shifts.
Whatever you do, I need you to GET UP… and more importantly, I need you to STAY UP!
With love,
